Fix Polymock Power Drain!
While playing through the Polymock matches, (something I am enjoying greatly) I've come across a bug that is only affecting a certain group of people, myself included. For people with slower computers, Polymock Power Drain is a potenially broken skill. Starting it when your opponent first begins his two second cast should interrupt his spell, no? Well for me it doesn't. It's not that I am hitting it too slowly, it is that my casting time lags too much. After talking with many people in-game about this, It cannot be denied that the problem exists. Some will have no idea what I'm talking about, lucky you, all of us out there with a bit weaker connection or a few Ghz less processing power are playing a different game. Please Anet, fix Polymock Power Drain for those of us who cannot play this great minigame correctly.

I just try to randomly use it and hope I get lucky. The 3 second delay on it makes it pointless to try to do anything else.

That's true, it's a very bad skill to serve its intended purpose because of the 1 second activation time. I'd see it functioning much better as a 1/4 cast time inturupt.

It shouldn't be like that though, the skill is too broken for me and those in my situation to be usable at all. Without two interrupts, its impossible to fare well against even the earth elemental.

I can't even get across how incredibly frustrating it is to watch that Earthquake or Rodgorts cast to full right after popping an interrupt. This really needs a fix.

Then I thank you for posting here, because it proves that this problem is not limited to slower PC's. If everyone that has experienced or heard of this problem posts here, something will be done.

Glad to find this thread, I thought I just sucked. But I play a Mesmer primarily, so I'm usually pretty good at interrupts...
The cast time definitely needs to be reduced, but it's more than just that; every Polymock skill has a peculiar lag to it that causes it to be cast at least half a second after you hit the button. Half the time, the cast bar doesn't show up, so you have no idea whether or not the spell actually completed, or hit the opponent, or was blocked, or just failed silently for no reason (which seems to happen with alarming regularity). Of course the AI opponent suffers from none of these things, and can interrupt my spells even when they have reduced cast time.
These aren't the only bugs. My wife got stuck after the first round of her first game; the AI would not pick a new piece to play with. She eventually had to warp back to Rata Sum and start over.
I think the apparently-legendary mental faculties of the Asura must result not from being good at Polymock, but from learning the self-control to keep from screaming -while playing it-.

My last post before bed. Help get this thread noticed, if a dev reads through it we could get the fix Power Drain so desperately needs. Thanks for all your support.

I've noticed that, also the watch yourself one, I keep clicking it when I see a spell being cast, then it tends to take effect just after the spell's hit me

OMG, I play a mesmer too and I was getting depressed playing polymock. I was thinking 'why can't I interrupt anymore? am I getting really bad at interrupting?'

Yeah... Sucks to play a mesmer, interrupt even 1/2 second cast skills, but a 2 second cast spells in Polymock are interrupt-proof? I still don't know how, but opponents ALWAYS succeed to use Power Drain (unless I use block/glyph of conc), while I only half the time, by luck.
